App Resource Library

There’s an app for just about everything, including quite a few that can actually be useful for mental health. This section of the resource library includes apps clients can use for things like coping, mood tracking, mindfulness, sleep, and behavior change, along with apps designed to make clinicians’ lives a little easier. I’ve divided them into two sections: apps for clients and apps for clinicians. As always, do a little digging before downloading or recommending an app, particularly when it comes to privacy, cost, and whether it actually does what it claims to do.

For evidence-based apps and reviews, visit One Mind PsyberGuide, a non-profit organization that evaluates mental health apps and then rates them based on credibility, user experience, transparency, and professional reviews, or the Mobile Health Index & Navigation Database (Mind Apps).

Free & Low-Cost Courses

This section of the resource library features free and low-cost courses, trainings, and learning opportunities covering mental health, counseling, substance use, and other topics relevant to behavioral health professionals.

It’s important to note that not all trainings are created equal. Always check to see if a training meets your state’s continuing education requirements. This information is typically available on the website of the state licensing board for your profession. To find NBCC-approved providers, search the ACEP directory here.

While I strive to provide credible and accurate resources, I recommend doing your own research to make sure a training is accredited by a reputable organization. Additionally, information linked to in this resource library may change over time.

Guides/Handouts/Infographics

Need something useful you can actually hand to a client? This section of the resource library includes free guides, handouts, infographics, tip sheets, and other practical resources that make mental health topics easier to understand and apply.

Unlike many sites that group handouts and worksheets together, this site keeps them in two separate sections so you can quickly find the type of resource you need.

This section is for handouts and educational resources designed primarily to be read, shared, or used as a reference. If you’re looking for something more interactive, visit the separate Worksheets section of the resource library, which includes resources designed to be completed with pen and paper, used as part of an activity, or worked through during or between sessions.

Video Resource Library

Sometimes watching a 10-minute video beats reading another 40-page PDF. That’s why this resource library includes useful videos, lectures, demonstrations, and educational content on mental health, counseling, psychology, and clinical practice, whether you’re learning something new or looking for something worth sharing with a client.

Worksheet Resource Library

I am not benefiting financially or otherwise from the links in this list, and I am not affiliated with the companies or organizations whose links are included in this resource library. Also, I am not endorsing any products or services. I am simply sharing these links because I believe they may be useful to my readers; Mind Remake Project’s mission is to provide free mental health resources.

Sometimes the right worksheet can do what 20 minutes of explaining can’t. This section of the resource library includes free mental health worksheets, exercises, activities, and other interactive tools covering everything from CBT and coping skills to relationships, emotions, trauma, substance use, and self-discovery.

Unlike the Handouts section of the library, which contains educational materials designed primarily to be read, reviewed, or shared with clients, the resources here are meant to be worked through. Worksheets ask clients to actively participate—by writing, reflecting, identifying patterns, practicing a skill, answering questions, setting goals, tracking symptoms or behaviors, or completing a therapeutic exercise. In other words, these aren’t just resources to hand someone; they’re tools for helping clients put concepts into practice.

Whether you’re looking for an activity to use during your next session, something for a client to complete between sessions, or simply want to build your collection of practical clinical resources, there’s plenty here worth exploring.

One client statement. Different clinical lenses. Explore how changing your theoretical perspective changes the questions you ask.

Clinical caution

Questions for clinical reflection

What does this lens help you notice? What might it overlook? How would the client's goals, identity, context, safety, preferences, and readiness influence your approach? What would you want to assess before intervening?

An original Mind Remake Project educational exercise. These are illustrative possibilities, not validated decision rules or individualized treatment recommendations. Use clinical judgment, supervision, and appropriate assessment. Do not enter identifying client information.

Case Conceptualization Builder

Organize a fictional or de-identified case using the 5 Ps formulation model. Generate an editable summary and preliminary treatment-planning considerations.

Privacy: Do not enter names, dates of birth, contact information, or other identifiable client information. This tool runs in your browser and does not intentionally transmit or save your entries. Avoid using it on shared devices with sensitive information.

Ethics Scenario Simulator

Practice ethical decision-making with fictional counseling dilemmas. Select a response, review the reasoning, and reflect on what you would do next.

Educational practice only. Scenarios are simplified and are not legal advice, an ethics ruling, or a substitute for supervision, applicable law, agency policy, and your professional code. Requirements vary by jurisdiction and license. Do not enter client information.

Designed for professional reflection and training. Feedback emphasizes a defensible decision-making process rather than claiming that every scenario has one universally correct answer.

I hope this resource library makes it a little easier to find the mental health tools, information, and support you're looking for, whether you're a clinician, student, or someone interested in mental health and personal growth. This resource library is an ongoing project, and I'll continue adding new worksheets, assessments, workbooks, clinical tools, and other free or low-cost resources as I discover them. My goal is to make the Mind Remake Project Resource Library a comprehensive, accessible, and genuinely useful collection of mental health resources, all in one place. Be sure to bookmark this page and check back regularly for new additions. And if you know of a great resource that deserves a spot in the library, I'd love to hear about it!
